This year is shaping up to be a good one.
The Front, which opened last May after gallery SIX vacated, now boasts 16 artist members including me, showing our work and running events, workshops and mini-residencies at 6 Barre Street. Our next show opens on Friday, February 5 for Montpelier Art Walk, 4-8 PM.
Life drawing sessions continue to run every Wednesday evening-- I'm going to start posting some of my drawings here on the blog, with a little obfuscatory text.
With the gallery functions taking up more time and space, I'm moving my studio back to our house on Prospect Street. This might be the year to return to sculpture; also on my list are landscape painting and portraits.
Every 2 months or so I intend to visit a museum. So far this year I've been to the Brattleboro Museum, which is lovely but so small that I'm still hungry. I think I'll be in Boston around February 20th; maybe I'll hit two or three there. Later on-- NYC, Philadelphia, ? I'd be happy to meet and talk art stuff.
